Hopefully

Keep Calm and Read a Modern Psalm Based on Jeremiah 29:11-13:
Right now my life seems to be great.
My heart is in His Hand.
For “Christ in me” has changed my fate—
He’s got my future planned.
And as I walk this shining path,
I see the One Who died—
The One Who bore God’s righteous wrath
Now walks with me in stride.

And what a comfort just to know
That my God thinks of me!
He thinks of me—with peace, not woe!
So I’ll live hopefully.

Right now my life is sinking fast
In tragedy and pain.
To move past this, I’ve asked and asked
Yet hurt remains the same.
But as I walk my darkened road,
I see He’s still beside.
He reaches down and takes my load
And every tear He dries.

And what a comfort just to know
That my God thinks of me!
He thinks of me—with peace, not woe!
So I’ll live hopefully.

So whether there is sun or shower,
He still remains the same.
The Sovereign God Who’s got all power
Has got my future framed.
I know He’ll work it all out right,
I know He’s got a plan.
So I’ll just live by faith, not sight
And hold on to His Hand.

And what a comfort just to know
That my God thinks of me!
He thinks of me—with peace, not woe!
So I’ll live hopefully.
