He Said Go

Keep Calm and Read a Modern Psalm Based on Matthew 28:18-20:

The Son of God became a Man
To seek and save the lost.
A servant’s life He humbly ran
And never feared the cost.
He faced a Cross for ones guilty
And died to give new birth.
Through this He gained authority
In heaven and in earth.

So He said go, and I will go.
So He said teach—I will.
I’ll yell it out for all to know.
With Christ this world I’ll fill.

The Son of God rose from the dead,
With glory all adorned.
By empty tomb the angel said,
“There is no cause to mourn.”
Our God cannot be held by death—
He lives eternally.
Until the age gives final breath,
He’ll not leave you or me.

So He said go, and I will go.
So He said teach—I will.
I’ll yell it out for all to know.
With Christ this world I’ll fill.

The Son of God has died and rose
To end my sin’s domain.
His Power and Presence in me shows
That I am not the same.
And so disciples I will make
Of neighbors far or near.
Christ is in me and won’t forsake.
His Power will drive out fear.

So He said go, and I will go.
So He said teach—I will.
I’ll yell it out for all to know.
With Christ this world I’ll fill.
